8-9 November, 2014 - A Russian-American Association of scientists holds a conference in Boston. Some of the most prominent members include internationally acknowledged scientists of Russian origin (expat community). Representatives of leading Russian scientific schools have also been invited, including those from NSU.
The organizers aim at improving communication between the Russian-speaking sci-tech community living outside Russia and Russian scientists and institutions.
The list of the participants includes some former NSU professors and alumni, e.g., Prof. Vladimir Zakharov (currently Regents' Professor of mathematics at The University of Arizona), Prof. Vladimir Shiltsev (the director of the Accelerator Physics Center at Fermilab (US), academician Roald Sagdeev (a Distinguished Professor of Physics at The University of Maryland, College Park, member of the US National Academy and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences) and others.
